The term “physician” comes from the Ancient Greek word “physis”, meaning “nature” or “natural”. The term “medicine” is derived from the Latin words “ars medicina”, meaning “the art of healing”.
The Greek physician Hippocrates is known as the Father of Medicine. His methods and intellect transformed the practice of medicine in ancient Greece. He made revolutionary arguments, being among the first to say that “disease primarily resulted not from evil spirits or punishment, but from environmental factors, poor diet, and unhealthy lifestyle choices”.
Unfortunately, Hippocrates and his wisdom are far removed from conventional modern medicine. Taking the Hippocratic Oath is not even required anymore (it was of us, however, and we took it very seriously).
Only now is the Hippocratic method making a return once again to its previous favored status; it is our hope that this continues, and our mission is to fully participate in such a movement, by offering compassionate holistic complementary healthcare for affordable compensation.
